So why are we called “3B”?
I have been asked that many times over the years and there is a simple answer.
Our family name is Batting, and the company was started back in 2002 by myself, Ross, and my parents, Alan and Lesley. The 3 Battings or “3 b’s”. Hence, the name.
Of course, things have evolved over the near 20 years we have been trading. We moved back in 2006 from our base in Milton Common to the Townsend Garage site in Haddenham where we began our workshop and valeting businesses. For 15 years we were very much a part of Haddenham village life and enjoyed it very much.
As our business grew and changed and as Alan and Lesley retired out of the business we changed again, rebranding, focusing on more corporate business and eventually dropping the valeting and workshop aspects of our business to focus on our core expertise – rental.
Our move last year to the new HQ in Long Crendon has opened up more opportunities for us to expand and I am pleased to say another “B” has joined the business this month – my wife, Rebecca.
Rebecca brings a wealth of experience (and support) to 3B Hire and will help us develop into a even better place to work, a more customer focused business and be even better at what we do overall.
As we enter our 20th year of trading, the future has never been more exciting for us here at 3B. From our sports team sponsorships, charity associations and social media pages, right thorough to our plans to open more branches across the region – its time for this family business to take its next steps, and we couldn’t do it without our great customers and partners.
