Conditions of Hire

We want you to meet our insurance criteria and not receive any charges at the end of your rental – please read these basic conditions of hire. They should help you avoid any charges or problems when you collect.

Whilst we will do all we can to ensure you get the vehicle chosen we cannot guarantee exact makes and models.

**Please read this prior to confirming your booking to check you are eligible to hire. All bookings are non-refundable (but if you need to change your dates we will do our best to accommodate or hold as a credit) **

Drivers must:

  1. Be between the ages of 25 and 75
  2. Have held a full licence for 2 years or more (please inform us of any endorsement’s)
  3. Be able to bring with you on the day of rental 2 forms of Identification (recent utility bill, bank statement, passport, council tax, credit/debit card are all acceptable), plus your in date photocard licence or paper licence
  4. Provide us with a driver check code or National Insurance number on the day of rental (see: https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence for more information)
  5.  Be prepared to leave a minimum £350 deposit or pre-authorisation on a credit card when you collect your vehicle – please check with your card issuer for details of how they handle pre-authorisations
  6. Not take your vehicle outside of the UK – we can quote for this if you like
  7. All drivers must be present at the time of hire
  8. Inform us of your occupation for insurance purposes
  9. Contact us BEFORE your hire period ends if you wish to extend your rental (you may become uninsured & charges may apply)
  10. Call our incident support number if you have a breakdown, warning light or accident immediately. Costs may be applicable for some items, such as tyres/punctures
  11. Return the vehicle in a reasonable condition (valeting charges may apply) – smoking & animals are not permitted
  12. Return the vehicle with the same fuel as it had when your hire started (charges may apply)
  13. You must have a D1 category on your licence to drive any vehicle with more than 8 passenger seats
  14. All online bookings are strictly non-refundable!
  15. Liability of all fines will be passed onto the driver. Our admin fee is £40+ vat for all penalty charges or traffic / parking offences / Dart charges. In some circumstances the fine will be paid and re-charged to your nominated card
  16. By hiring from us you agree to your data being shared with third parties such as the Police, DVLA, Insurers and other rental companies
  17. Delivery & collection abort fees may apply if for any reason your delivery/collection cannot be completed (such as customer not present)
  18. You agree to pay on demand your insurance excess in the event of damage to your rental vehicle. Admin fees apply on damage & insurance claims. You also authorise us to charge your card for any costs relating to your use of the rental vehicle

Privacy policy: If you select to be added to our mailing list we will use your email address for email marketing purposes only (inc optimising campaigns). We will not pass to any third party* and will not share your information. You can select to unsubscribe at any time

Data ProtectionBy entering into a rental agreement you agree that we can process and store your personal information in connection with this agreement including data collected from the vehicle. We may use your information to analyse statistics, for market research, credit control and to protect our assets.

*We may need to share your information with selected 3rd parties for performance of this contract including:

  • Our breakdown provider (if your vehicle suffers a breakdown)
  • Our Insurers
  • The DVLA, including if you take the vehicle abroad

You agree that if you break the terms of this agreement, we can pass your personal information to credit-reference agencies, debt collectors, the police or any other relevant organisation. We can also give this information to the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA), which can share your personal information with its members to prevent crime and protect their assets, as allowed under any applicable data protection legislation.
