3B Hire supports Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity

On Friday 12th April 2019, I got to do something I have always wanted to do as a business owner; I got to give something back to a great local charity.

Last month my wife saw a post on the Bucks Herald Facebook page by Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity (FNHC), and they were appealing for help to fund a new furniture delivery van for the Charity’s Furniture Showroom in Chamberlain Road.

It’s safe to say we JUMPED at the chance!

Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity will get the use of the brand spanking new VW Luton van for the next year – wholly paid for by us at 3B Hire and Servicing.

The van will save them upwards of £20k meaning that they can instead put their funds into the brilliant and vital hospice care they provide and help future collection and delivery van pickups, donations of and home delivery of items bought from the Furniture Showroom.

 

The Team and I are thrilled to be associated with this great charity and can’t wait to get started supporting them over the coming months! I think the kind words from FNHC’s Head of Retail, Lily Caswell says it all

Florence Nightingale Hospice is located at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and provides first-class specialist palliative care which is accessible and free of charge to those with a life-limiting illness in Buckinghamshire. The Hospice also provides other services such as 24/7 end-of-life care in the home, Florrie’s Children’s Team support for families, the Day Hospice and Bereavement Support.

Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity needs to raise over £750,000 annually to ensure the continued funding of local in-patient and at-home palliative care services, for many more years to come.
